Dr Kenn Fisher – specialises in applied research into the planning and design of human environments focussing on the health, education and training sectors.

More recently his evidence-based practice has pursued evidence-based design for health and wellbeing through the lens of biophilia and biourbanism.

Kenn’s skills and experience covers campus planning, functional design brief development and change management, all using the evidence-based approach to ensure positive outcomes.

He has consulted to the OECD,  UNESCO, many ministries of education locally and internationally and universities and colleges/polytechnics in Australia, New Zealand, S.E. Asia, China, the Middle East, Europe and the United States. He has also had experience in workplace academies and hospital and health environment planning.

The basis of his practice is translational design which focuses on linking research with practice and vice versa through evidence based design. Much of his work has been through the University of Melbourne’s LEARN and through his consulting practices.
